Specific illumination requirements for badminton courts

1.For entertainment

2.For the school badminton court

Sports facilities with tournament-size badminton courts must provide illumination of around 300 to 500 lux. Suitable for university and campus facilities with regular sports activities. All lamps and lanterns in the badminton hall should be cost-effective and reliable. In this case, LED stadium lights are the most appropriate choice because they are more efficient. With the same lumen, the cost of using LED stadium lights is lower.

3.For community competitions

Each badminton court owner must adopt standard lighting design to host community competitions. Generally around 500-700 lux. BWF World Championships have strict lighting design rules. The illumination level is around 1000 to 2000 lux. In essence, audience demand for televised games creates demand for better lighting. The simplest and most accurate method is to use an illuminometer. Some applications can help you measure the illumination level of the light source by accessing the front or rear camera. In other words, you point your smartphone at a light source and let the app calculate the Lux level.
